Serene, did not know of his passing. Thank you for noting it. Read this post last night and spent some time thinking about the bands like Moby Grape that influenced my music choices. Along with them, Love, Quicksilver, Spooky Tooth, Captain Beyond, Family, Original Steve Miller Band with Boz, Ben Sidran and Tim Davis, It’s a Beautiful Day, first BS&T. A unique time when smaller bands and songwriters had access to the greater market. Glad there was no internet. Remember going to the record store, listening to what they were playing and just cruising the bins. More tactile, more direct. And there was nothing like getting home, removing the cellophane, opening sleeve and dropping the needle. Jerry Miller and his contemporaries lived in a time that we will never see again. I’ve got 8:05 and Omaha playing in my head
