Do you know of the period correct emblem ever came in silver or just black. My car was repainted years ago and I don’t recall which color the emblem was prior to paint job. It came back without the emblem.

Appreciate it.

In know that the 911 logo on G body cars both came in black anodized and silver. I suppose it matches if the car's exterior, esp. the grille and window frames. When window frames and grille were chrome/silver, also the logo on the engine lid was chrome/silver. When the window frames anf the grille were black the logo was also black. But I cannot remember seeing an original turbo-logo in silver, even when the window frames were silver on early models. The grille of them were also black I guess. Unfortunately, my literature is also silent on this point.
Magnus Walker owns, beside other 930's, the very first in the US ever sold 930, a silver color car with VIN #15 of 1975. It has silver (anodized) window frames, but a black grille and the logo bicolored silver and black "turbo Carrera" (turbo silver, Carrera black):

At some point Porsche named the 930 only "turbo" as in the rest of the world too. Don't ask me when...you obviously have a later model, so I guess the logo should be "turbo" only, even for an US model. The logo on your car seems to come from a 996.
