Maybe I am old school but I don’t think I would worry about the brazed patches. It is a sound way to perform that work. I would consider leading over those spots. I personally would lead over any patch I did including welded patches.
Consider using weld through primer on the areas you have stripped to prevent flash rust on the surfaces.
