I replaced my 80K grain water softener with this new 64K grain system yesterday. It went smoothly, since I anticipated the plumbing changes I had to make and bought everything I needed before hand. The valve on my old system was getting sketchy after 16 years, although I could get it to soften the water OK. With just the two of us in the household, even the 64K grain system is a bit over kill. Got my septic tankj serviced last week. Things that have to be done when you live in the country. I have to admit, I don't find things everly easy in my later years.
