JMO but short of doing all that sell it as is/where is here on Pelican. I would imagine it would sell in less than a day on the classified section here. You might not get maximum value but you would get minimum hassle. Motivated buyers would gladly pick it up, the widow and son would have to do nothing other than show them where the car is, sign the title, etc. You as well. (exception of listing the car here).

I will discuss it with them next week. They have no idea what it is or what is worth. The car was his baby for many years. I get the impression so far, they want little to no hassle getting rid of it. I’m considering taking it as a project. What’s a fair offer out here in the middle of nowhere? I would just winch it on the trailer, take it to a specialty shop and hope there isn’t much wrong other than oil leaking and cosmetics. What would you guys pay for a potential project?
