Wow that's a dive into the deep end of the amusingly divisive old fashioned! Brandy? Mashed fruit salad? 7-up? After that, a round of Maloorts for the house!
I fully respect the upper midwest's charm and quirks, as a survivor myself, but IMHO that cocktail is about the booze with just a little sweet and spice mixed in.
But thank you anyway - when is it too early to hit the grocery for some bourbon? Maybe a jar of cherries, just to manage some solid food into this "brunch?"
