While I waited for the car, I wondered the same thing. It did not have the metal plate in the luggage compartment, which I know ROW cars typically have, but I quickly confirmed via a receipt in the documents that the PO purchased and installed them.

He must have loved the idea of a ROW car, because he even sourced the blue case BDW air compressor, whcih from my research was only supplied in ROW cars.

I even managed to save the instructions for the air compressor too. The pages were glued together somehow. I spend about 2 hours slowly seperating them with a long thin razor.

The car is also ROW ride height, which I forgot to mention. So yeah, next best thing to getting a ROW car IMO. It's honestly one of the more exciting aspects of getting an old car. Doing the research and trying to fill in the gaps on 46 years of history.
