Paper wasps are much more docile when the nest is small/new and there's only a couple. If the nest grows, and you end up with a big nest covered in a bunch of wasps, they seem to be much more defensive.
Now that guy's got a hand full of wasps in his hand. If he drops the nest, are those wasps going to think "WTF!?! GET HIM!!!"
Nope, far closer than I need to be at something that could dismantle me.
