Oh Man! I feel your pain.
I had to figure out the F'ed up wiring on a horse trailer we bought. After a few frustrating (and educational) hours with a test light and a diagram, I finally got it to standard.
Then I had to have the frame and axles replaced. Did I ever get taken for a ride on that POS.
Oh yes. Then the darned horse grew too big for the trailer.
At least now I can laugh about it.
