Multiple issues. Market saturation, most people that want to buy an EV have done so. Used EV's are dirt cheap. Ford and GM are pulling back and reformulating their EV products, so the market is waiting for 'something better'.
If you want an EV, a cheap lease might be a good way to bridge the gap and wait for longer range/better batteries.
