Well, now that you've asked me to join in the conversation....
There are plenty of cars out there which are essentially track-only cars. OK, maybe not plenty, but all of Porsche's GT series of hero cars. The exotic supercars like Bugattis, Paganis, Konigseggs. Even the more pedestrian Lambos, McLarens, Ferraris and Corvettes. All cars that you could never/rarely use to their full potential on public roadways.
I'm curious as to what (in terms of hardware or development costs) would justify a car $200K+ more than the rest of the Mustang lineup. If a regular Mustang can cost $30-60K, why does this one cost several hundred thousand dollars?
