This is an easy 30 minute walk from the lodge. I was sitting on a picnic table that would have been a great place for lunch, but we already ate at the lodge. Saturday after the Fourth of July, not crowded, 90* when it was 115* at the South Rim. There are various size cabins. I believe many if not most have a door that connects to the adjoining cabin, like a connected room in a hotel. There are some cabins that have little front porches with a few chairs. There are about 3 or 4 of the larger cabins that have pretty fantastic views. I would imagine they are booked out pretty far on those particular cabins, but how much time are you staying in your room at the Grand Canyon? I got the penny pressed into a souvenier that you hand crank. I think they have those things at most if not all the National Parks. Donkey ride was $120 for 3 hours, passed on that. Bicycles would have been cool to have, as would motorcycles
My sister and wife are working on a trip. I expect it will be epic. Wife showed pictures to her doctor. He immediatly called his wife and told her they were going to take a trip, literally
