My family flew out for a friend's kid's graduation in NM but I drove so I can spent half a day in the North Rim. Its really amazing what the sun light does to the orange colored rocks throughout the day. I too looked at the view for a couple hours and tried to locate the South Rim which is tiny and one can bearly see it. Glad I was able to stick around to hear the ranger's talk at the amphitheater just outside the lodge. Now i want to go back with my wife before it closes for the winter.
