Josep. Thanks for the response. FM band works fine--AM and Shortwave emit only a faint buzz, no distinguishable audio sounds. Removed cover of tuning/radio (not SW) module, looking for toasted components ect, found nothing unusual--to the layman). Radio has lain dormant for perhaps 20 years (in car), as I recall, both (AM SW) were operational when parked(This is almost too far back to recall). Cleaned multipronged plugin suspecting corrosion (may still be) to no avail. All pushbuttons operate freely, as do tuning and volume knobs.
