Hi All,
This is my daughter's car. 2014 Audi Q5. She complained the steering was not right. It felt notchy. She took it to our local indy shop. He said to take it to the Audi dealer and get it reprogrammed.
It has 50k miles on it and she bougt it used. The Audi dealer checked it for any recall and there was none outstanding. I had a ppi done prior to her buying it and they said there were no issues.
To the credit of the Audi dealer the mechanic took a pic of the steering shaft and found a crack in it. My daughter approved of their fixing it by replacing the part. Meanwhile $1200 cdn or about $900 us. I imagine the part was quite expensive.
There is a suggestion that it might have been in a previous accident to cause damage like that. Or could it be caused by normal wear and tear?
Your thoughts would be appreciated!
