Mag mount would not keep my phone in place. About 5 mins or so down the road it wiggled loose and dropped on the gear shifter (iPhone 12 Pro Max, so it's bigger and heavier than the standard size). I have a thin cheap protection case on the phone, which I'm not about to remove--it has saved the phone many times. I swapped the head of a ATT magnetic Qi charger with clamp arms to the Rennline ball mount (that clamps around the clock). The ATT came with a ball mount too, and they were the same size.
