Walks round the hood are starting to change
Wife and I were out and about, decided to go walk the Everett waterfront. The city and developers have/are pouring lots-O-cash into apartments, condos, restaurants and classed up the marina- put in about 2 miles of walkway snaking around the shoreline.
The area was initially home to saw mills, shingle mills and supporting industries. I remember it as very shabby with a great boat ramp, Bayside Marine and a few industrial supply businesses that you only visited rarely. Now a thriving community and tax generator.
There was a big fishing derby going on with lots of salmon running up the mighty Snohomish river, Bayside Marine had one of their storage buildings open and set up to show the Seahawks game with a couple food trucks to feed the masses
A beautiful old Weyerhaeuser head shed building out on the waterfront is now a whisky/coffee bar, lounge and hangout. The old vault is now booze storage. (I have a feeling that's not the first time)
On a scale of one to ten, how good are you at cutting shakes?
Local harbor seal was showing off it's catch, and ripping it into nice bite size chunks while we watched, apparently the scum of bilge water and oil drips are the perfect seasoning
