This has been going on with CPR since at least 2019. Steal a car it's a criminal matter, run a business and essentially steal someone's car its a civil matter. Makes it easy to repeat again and again and again. I have no sympathy for them. The honest thing to do would have been to declare Bankruptcy the moment they considered doing fradulent things to stay "in business". No one would excuse the criminal on the street when they steal a fellow enthusiast's car, but it's amazing how many people will defend a place like this who has stolen from multiple people. (not referring to any posters here) Probably several dozen.
Reminds me of a high end restoration shop called The Healey Works. Great reputation restoring various Marques then pissed it all away by defrauding a few customers.
It's ultimately about ethics. I understand wanting to keep something open, not wanting to give up. I've been there. I ruined myself for many years with a failed business venture in my 20's because I wouldn't cut my losses. But cheating people crosses the line and when you come to that line your sense of right and wrong should kick in. Unfortunately it doesn't always work that way.
