Car is an '88 911 Carrera. Replaced my tired hydraulic hood struts with the Rennline billet mechanical offerings. The Rennline struts are all billet aluminum and work on the same principle as a ball point pen mechanism. There is no spring assist so the hood feels heavier but certainly not objectionable. The quality and appearance is all excellent, typical of Rennline products. I really like the positive retention of the "hood" when fully open. I highly recommend these struts.
