Let him get his confidence up and then WHAMMY.

Next time, try an elbow drop off the top rope. Seriously, this is why I still have one of those pump type Crossman air rifles. A few pumps at point blank would have done the trick. I used to do that to mice when they'd get behind my TV.

Btw, your description above made me envision that scene from Christmas Vacation where the squirrel was in the house.
The mice was the reason I bought a Crossman pellet gun to begin with. That was over 20 years when I bought this dirty old house. I couldn't catch that little guy so the air gun did the trick so no more mice for a long time until now. I think I left the back door open is how it got in. Since then I haven't used it since but on a couple raccoons. It didn't do anything to them, only to have them flip me off when they were shot. The CO2 was stuck in there due to lack of used in years. I was going out my my mind. Had it been working, my problem would have been solved. My wife even suggested I get another gun this morning. We are not going to have that opportunity again but I did oiled and fix the air gun just in case I get lucky when we meet again.

After I given some thought this morning, I was laser focus on getting this little bastard and didn't think straight while I had it trapped in there with my foot on the plywood. I should have ask my kid or wife to get the small pipe from the garage and heat it on the stove and burn that little siht to death. I had it crushed in there but the gap between the plywood and the wall was only about an inch. A small piece of steel or something even the handle of a ladle would have ended it. My wife was piss when I told her what I should have done yet she had dreams of the rat tail brushing against her face while she was sleeping. She was up for most of the night knowing the rat is still somewhere in the house.

Highlight of my life
