Prior to posting this, I have searched the forums for an answer.* If I missed it, please forgive my ignorance.* I have a 1999 996 C4.* I recently upgraded the stereo system and removed the trunk liner, spare wheel and plastic pieces to install a couple of amplifiers.* After the install, I now have a "brake wear" dash light illuminated.* I checked the brake pads and they were practically new.* To be safe, I replaced all of the pads and all four sensors.* I ensured everything was properly seated, including the sensor connections.* My car still has the dash light illuminated.* I used the old sensors and created "jumpers" and bridged the two wires from each sensor.* I installed the "jumpers" and ensured each one was properly seated.* I still have the "brake wear" light illuminated on my dash.

Are there any wires connected to the "brake wear" sensors in the trunk area that I may have disturbed?* I checked, but did not see any wires that appeared damaged or disconnected.* Any help is appreciated, David
