Bigoledave: one more tip, change the fuses to NEW fuses. That will save you future electrical headaches. These old style open fuses get thermally stressed, corroded and cracked after many years in service, especially the higher amp ones. They are cheap, so just replace all of them. And try to use the ceramic ones, not the plastic ones.
