Second, we used Dawn to clean metal parts before anodizing. Ask Shaun...anodizing requires CLEAN parts. A good hard mechanical scrubbing with Dawn and then distilled water leaves NOTHING on metal.

I'm thinking you meant isopropanol? Also, newspaper works really well on glass as compared to regular paper towels.
