Second, we used Dawn to clean metal parts before anodizing. Ask Shaun...anodizing requires CLEAN parts. A good hard mechanical scrubbing with Dawn and then distilled water leaves NOTHING on metal.

You are correct Mike I use a ton of Dawn Platinum every month, but no scrubbing on chrome-level polished window frames, just a super soft microfiber fleece in a wash bucket full of Dawn and water. Caressing the frame to wash off polish residue, hot water rinse and blow dry, it's 99% ready to go.
