This reminds me of the Y2K scare. Ms Rocket when on a buying frenzy, buying toilet paper, a nice Mossberg shotgun, freeze dried food, a tri-fueled generator and (5) 50 gallon drums for water.

I told her our house is going to be lit up like a Christmas tree and everybody’s going to be coming to our house for food, shelter, etc.

The generator had to be ordered. When I got home from work and she told me, I made her go back to the store and cancel it and other things. Only years later, she told me she took things back to the stores and told them, can you believe my husband bought this stuff stuff! ��

I remember when it turned 12:01 am 2000, I picked up the phone, heard the dial tone, and told Ms. Rocket, the world didn’t end. She wasn’t happy. ��

That was the last time I stayed up past midnight to see the new year. I waited for 30 minutes to hear about the catastrophes and of course there were none. I went to sleep.
