Well yes, there can be a reason: Because people panic and shelves empty. I bought TP at Costco yesterday but only because we are down to our 'safety stock.' One of those big bricks of Kirkland TP lasts us a year but it just so happens we are running low right now. No. I am not going to buy three bricks of TP. I'm prepared for a crisis but not an apocalypse.
