Not true, vaccine expert. Historically, it's been customary to give all vaccines in a single doctor's office visit. At least for the last 65 years I've been alive, historically.
With some vaccines, like the flu shot and Covid, they will ask if you want them spread out by a week and it's a good idea to do that for the very reason stated in this thread. At this point, he has no idea which one got him so bad. The good news is that he's definitely vaccinated after that reaction.
