My first time being stationed outside the US I had to get Yellow Fever shot. For about a day and a half afterwards, very very sore arm and felt like the flu. Thanks for reminding me of that.
My other least favorite experience was Anthrax Vax. Had great nurse and didn't even feel it go in my arm. Took two steps and it kicked in like a mule. Was very happy when the Army said no more were necessary.
Oh wait one more, as a preventative the Army used to make you take Gama Globulin shot before deployment, one in each cheek. Gearing up for deployment to Somalia, I got mine and then got very light headed but not all the way out. Then I realized some female Colonel was loosening my shirt and belt. She was definitely not Major Houlihan...
