I'm not sure that a stun gun is a worthwhile option.
1 The guy that lived next to me in the dorms had one. It hurt, but it wasn't remotely incapacitating.
2 You have to be at arms reach to use it which is too close.
3 That seems like the sort of thing that a bad person would take from her and then use on her.

Something like pepper spray (is mace still a thing?) is better because it can be used at more of a distance and is more likely to be at least partially incapacitating (if they can't see and their nose is running wild...)
