I'm not sure I'd allow my daughter to get a gun because she's afraid. I've suggested one to my oldest daughter on several occasions. But I told here I only supported it if she was willing to take classes on safe handling and can show me she knows how to handle one safely. While Ohio no longer requires a concealed carry permit, I'd want my daughter to take the course just so she understands the responsibility of owning a firearm. The SSRI is another concern we share.
