Nice customer support form Zodiac /Jandy

I recently bought a salt water generator on my pool and it began throwing some error codes on the panel. After calling and following their troubleshooting instruction from the technical support guy, we determined I needed a new sensor. ($250+) but I was under the 1 year warranty.

He agreed to send out a new one and asked for the exact model and serial number, but as I was at that end of the pool pad I noticed my landscaper's weed-whacker cut through half of the cable. I told him "Wait a minute, I just found the problem" and explained the issue and that it wasn't a warranty issue. He thanked me for my honesty, which I said you don't need to thank me for that, but he said you wouldn't believe the bull**** people tell him just about everyday.

A few days later I spliced the wires together and was up and running again after that. About 3 weeks later, I got a box in the mail from Jandy, with a new sensor and a note that said "Honesty is the best policy". I thought that was pretty classy. And besides the free comp on the replacement part, it's been a long time since I've been able to speak to an onshore tech support guy who knew what he was doing.
