So like you say the story is much the same.... I was leaving a car show on this 1/4 mile run to the freeway. It was a concrete single lane with a gradual curve, no one around so I got down on it. Boost comes on pretty quick and I'm thru 1st and second as fast as you can think it. In 3rd I start to go sideways and all I can think of is stay in it, you can't let off!........ If you don't drive through it you'll be in the guard rail. As I hit 4th the car straightened out. With eyes wide open I hit the highway... laughing because it was so much fun. There is nothing like it.
By the way still driving on those 25 year old Pirelli's that still look like new, really need to get a new set of tires...this year.
