Amazon proved my theory about the less you really need an item, fast it will get there immediately, and if you are desperate for an order it will take weeks to get to you.
On Wednesday as I was cleaning up, and putting away the tools I noticed my supply of rubber gloves was low, and the cleaner wax I like for cleaning the painted surfaces of rubber marks or tar or bird poo was almost gone. And when I went to Palm Springs, I was warned no car washes. So I bought some spray "dry car wash" spray. And I used up my air filter for the 911, and even it will be years before I need a new one, I wanted to get one in stock.
Not one of the items was needed right away, and it took a month, no big deal. So Thursday at 9:30 I ordered all of those items. The gloves and wax were delivered by 4:30 the same day! The car wash spray showed up at 9:30 PM. Only the air filter did not show up on the same day, and it is scheduled to be delivered today.
