What kind of scam would this be?
Lately I have been posting some photos on Bluesky. Edit. No.
Two different people asked if I would sell some pictures.
I said sure, $10 for a jpeg or I could supply prints up to 17x22, the price determined by the size and shipping costs.
The first one came back and offered 1 ETH for four pix. I had to look it up and that would be about $2700. I said no and he deleted his account.
The second person said he wanted to buy 6 to use as NFTs for $2000 each.
I responded, why would you pay $2000 each for a jpeg that I would sell for $10? As of this posting he has not responded. He may just delete his account as well.
Besides, I did not even think NFTs were a thing anymore.
This is obviously a scam. They know nothing about me, no picture, not even my name. Although my profile used to state that I was retired (since deleted). I even used a burner email address to join Bluesky that I use nowhere else.
Perhaps they are hoping to find a senile senior citizen and steal my money.
If he does continue the chat, what could be the downside if I strung him along a bit?
