Since you did it, I’m curiosu what you used in the Healey and TR6.

The stock steering wheel is quite close to the dash - if you were to tilt it up it would get even closer, to a degree that I think it would be a problem. I’m 6 feet tall and thin and have slightly short arms for my height, so every car I get in I want to pull the wheel closer to me so that I can get a good position on the wheel without scrunching my legs. To do this on my 911 I replaced the stock wheel with a slightly dished Momo on an extended hub and this did the trick. If you’re thin you’ll run into fewer issues with the wheel than if you’re a big guy. The eccentric hub spacer exists because steering wheels hitting legs is an issue for some people. I tend to like my wheels on the low side and I like the height in my car.
