Phew, I just finished replacing the other hydraulic cylinder on my scissor lift.
There are two on the MD6XP scissor lift. The left side started leaking out of the weep hole on the top side. I just ordered a new one from Bendpac and it was something $440.00 I swapped it a month ago.
Then I put my 911 on the lift to do the 30,000 mile valve adjustment and another oil change. While it was going up one time, the other cylinder started leaking. After the valve job was done and the 911 was driving, I took the leaking cylinder to a nearby repair facility. They had some monster size cylinders and some hydraulic powered pole chain saws on the table to be picked up.
They took it all apart, inspected it, and put in all new seals $331.08 and gave it a paint job. So replaced the right cylinder today. Hopefully I am good for another 11 years, which is how old the lift is. I will get the other cylinder on hand and have it rebuilt if I get another leaky cylinder.
It sure is handy to have even for non car work.
