I was chosen as a candidate for a NAFLD study because of my age and weight. I guess it's not easy to find 74 year olds who aren't overweight.
I took the impact ultrasound test and turned out that I do not have any sign of NAFLD, so I am in the control group. They are testing me every year to see if I develop the disease. I had never even heard of it, but the tech told me NAFLD is the new heart attack. It sneaks up on you and before you even know you have it you are seriously ill.
