I wouldn't bother with tyvek, unless you are residing the whole house. Especially since most of the area is ventilated anyway (the attic I assume). roofing or siding paper is fine. However a quick look at Hdepot a small roll of housewrap is about the same price as a roll of roofing paper
With the big roof overhang, I wouldn't be too worried about tucking the paper under the J. Just use tyvek tape.

Is the awning going back? If not, the area of concern would be the J-channel or flange over the windows & door.
