So cool and thanks for sharing. It made me recall an encounter I had with an army Air Force vet I met at a historic air show the Hickory, NC airport about 10 years ago. If I remember correctly, he was a waist gunner on a B-24. I do recall him talking about Operation "Tidal Wave" aka "The Raid on Ploiesti". I had enough sense to record part of our encounter on my cell phone. I just need to find it amongst the stack of old phones in my closet.
