Let me add to Thomas complete discussion.

I have the Koni Sport adjustables, and I really like them. The Sports are only a little stiffer than the Classics on their softest setting, which is very nice for the street in my 1973 car. The Sports also have the adjustment knob on the top of the shock (the Classics do not), so you can literally adjust all 4 shocks in a few minutes with the car on the ground. I do this for autocross, then set them back to soft for the street. They are also very reasonably priced, at about $850 for the set of 4 at Pelican.

To do better than the Konis, you have to spend several times more money.
