For my project 1979 911, I would like to run a full size spare because I want a spare with a tire that can readily be replaced. From reading posts on this forum, the only way seems to be to run an early tank, for which it appears that a reproduction would be the Dansk 1615600100 model. This tank has three ports on the bottom. Looking at photos, it appears the fuel connections go over the suspension cross member, and it looks a little tight already for space. The early cars had the round steel tube cross member. I am wondering if I will have problems making the connections for supply and return if I am running the later aluminium cross member.
