"Devil fish" of Africa!
This fish is the Goliath tiger fish, some tribes in Africa call it the devil fish. Because this fish is very ferocious, dangerous with a huge appearance and brutal hunting skills thanks to its razor-sharp teeth.
This fish has the scientific name Hydrocynus goliath, belongs to the Alestidae family, and often lives in the Congo River basin (including the Lualaba River, Upemba Lake) and Tanganyika Lake.
The Goliath tiger fish has an average weight of about 50kg and an average length of 1.5m. They are both large and ferocious, so they are carnivores with formidable hunting skills. The "ultimate weapon" of this species when hunting is its mouth with razor-sharp teeth of 32, which when biting, the prey will feel "pain that reaches the sky".
The Goliath Tigerfish is both large and strong, so if this species goes hunting, the prey will not be able to escape, but can only meet Death. This species even eats small crocodiles.
As a devil fish of the notorious river region, this species is a favorite challenge for anglers, a target for super anglers to improve their skills in the profession.
You can follow the River Monsters series by Jeremy Wade to see the process of catching this fish.
