My dad was an Air Force pilot. He often traveled via civilian transport. He kept his seat belt on 100% and only if he had to use the restroom did he unbuckle. He was never in a crash, but he said one day out of the blue the airplane hit severe turbulence. The stewardess and lots of passengers bounced off of the ceiling, smashed into the floor and bounced off the ceiling again. He was luck enough that no one landed on him. Lots of injuries, but dad was 100% fine. I wear my seat belt if I am in any aircraft or car 100% of the time.
