I should have just had them do all four at the first stop. I was told 8-10 years is the average life.

I've got a 2008 boxster. I've had it since Aug 2014. It was CPO when I bought it. I don't think the TPMS sensors have ever been replaced, at least, not since I've owned it. I'm assuming they could go bad any day now since they should be at least 10 years old (if not 16).
The Internet seems to think that the wife's 2018 Outback also has sensors. I suspect they may be getting ready to go out. They seem to work, we get numbers for all 4 wheels. But twice now the warning light started blinking and then stayed on which I believe is supposed to indicate a problem in the system. I suspect the battery is going bad in at least one sensor.
