Iv kinda become a british car guy. Got a 66 morris mini and now a 66 mgb-gt im fixing up. There is absolutely no reason to fear them they are extremely simple and easy to work on and all of the parts are available. I guess im a bit of a purist being that i would be very hesitant to update a powerplant and dispose of that simple lump of cast iron that can essentially go forever and be rebuilt indefinately. People shouldnt fear rust either. Getting too hung up on making a car perfect. Get it working and drive it. Enjoy it as the old relic that it is. Scrapping it because its not economical to make it perfect is not the thinking that should be applied to old cars.
