In college, I had a 64 VW Baja bug, with a Tilt fiberglass front end. And basically nothing between the wheel wells and the dash, ie, all the cold air (and water when it rained) would come through the vents, glove box door (no actual glove box) and speaker holes, during one of the coldest winters in Florida (a hard freeze broke the water line to my washing machine and my entire driveway was iced over) and I would wrap a heavy blanket when driving anywhere.
