Without any pics of the car, it is difficult to give a value. Is there any rust in the car? What does the underside look like? Was this a garage kept show car or somebody's daily hot rod? Have you driven the car? Does it run and drive? how many miles are on it? I'm guessing that it might be valued anywhere from 20k to 35k, depending on over all condition. Check trunk, quarter panels, bottoms of fenders, rocker panels, and floor pans for rust, pretty much the same areas for all older cars. Don't "assume" anything. When looking at the car in person, take a magnet with you. You stated that the paint job wasn't very good so, that will definitely affect the value. Good luck.
