Problem resolved . I had my wife pull on the hood release handle while I pushed and pulled on the hood . Took about 30 seconds and it opened . Just like the video posted above that spring on the cable end was messed up . I was able to open the clip and pull the cable end out .
I lubricated the cable and latch assembly and put it back together . I tested it twice and it opened as it should . So I think it's good to go . I appreciate all you guys giving advice , it was very helpful . Thank you
