What's the trade value or cash price on that Luger? IMHO, that Colt is mediocre. Nickel is too blingy, it's a scratch magnet, the sights suck and it's probably been rode hard and put away wet. I have a Series 70 Commander my mom bought for my dad when I was six for $150. I grew up with it and it's one of the good ones. I've owned several other Commanders and they all sucked. I'm sour on Colt 1911s, but I got one a good one. Much better options out there, depending on budget.

FWIW, I was in the local gun store a while back when I saw an old woman with a walker on her cell phone and overheard her saying, "They told me $600 for the Luger." The deal was already done, but I got to look it over and it was a bring-back, had capture papers, original holster, etc. They probably flipped it for $3k the next day.
