Close to on topic and worth it for someone who needs bolt extractor options. I traded a 1999 RAV4 in exchange for a brake job. Fuel pump is dead. Access to the fuel pump is from inside the car but the tank cover plate (8mm hex head) bolts are corroded. Sockets just spin on them. They also had JIS "#2 phillips" recesses in the head but I was not taking the chance.
I sandblasted with a handheld blaster around the bolts and used a towel to keep the sand isolated. Gave me a little more depth once rust scale was gone.
I got the set below from Amazon and found the right size (many choices) to slide over the head and bite by tapping on a 1/4 socket extension. Every one of them came out.
Clearly lower end but not bad for $50
